I used this service to search for a copywriter. The service is not very convenient due to the fact that the interface is not very friendly. As a result, after a couple of hours of searching, I finally realized how to find an employee the easiest way. Please refine this point.
I signed up for a website design, and was immediately contacted offline by one of their designers, telling me to end my contest and pick their design. I reported her as a scammer to customer service, and they did nothing. She continued to harass me to the point of making my contest private, repeatly contacting customer service about it, and repeatedly being told "she was warned.". Needless to say, the websites I was forced to choose from were awful, and when I did pick a winner, that designer stopped answering my emails. I continually asked for refunds and was denied. Paypal denied my requests for refunds as well. I was told my customer service that I had to commit to the contest to get my money back. Please stay away from this website.
DesignCrowd exploits your privacy and is not worth the money
I launched a private campaign a few months ago for a logo design for a new fitness company, and the first thing I discovered was that MOST of the designers are from places like India, Pakistan etc and they barely speak enough English to understand the parameters for your campaign. The second thing I discovered is that MANY designer's photos in their portfolio are not their own work, you learn that very fast when they submit design options and the work is on par with a beginner AND then you photo search some of their portfolio photos and discover they stole someone's work and passing it off as their own. I just discovered my very private campaign and logo design is searchable on Google, I was never made aware of this and NOW they want me to pay $49 to make it private?!? They exploit customer's privacy and don't make it know that everything will be open for public viewing! I never would have imagined my private project would be put on display ... Unbelievable. There are SO many other better options for crowdsourcing. Go elsewhere!
Don't use your business name written anywhere because it will be searchable on Google. Or write your BUi$$ness [email protected] like this. You pay so much money to get a design and then they turn around and use it to make more money. So use an email that's not associated with your website.
I don’t recommend this website at all. My experience was the worst as possible. I paid for a package that promised 15+ designers + 30+ designs. I was excited about the idea and trusting on the 100% money back guarantee. After 3 days I started to be concerned because we just had 1 designer and 1 design. They offered me to extend my project. After one week I couldn’t be more disappointed! We had just 3 or 4 designers and one was good, but the other 3 were super bad, they are way too far to be professional. I couldn’t even show my boss the horrible designs we got because would be a mess! I asked for refund and guess what? They charged me 44 dollars for posting the project! Don’t waist your money on Design Crowd! I wish I could have tried 99 Designs instead. Now I messed up with my budget and no design. My boss is pissed.
A friend recommended I try running a logo design contest on DesginCrowd. I'll admit I was a bit skeptic about the whole thing, but since they have a satisfaction guarantee, I figured I'd give it a try. A couple of the logos I got weren't great, but all you need is one, right? And I'm totally in love with the one I chose. It's so me and it fits my website and my social media pages perfectly. The designer was willing to make a couple of small changes I requested, and all in all, it was a good experience. I would definitely work with DesignCrowd again in the future.
