They really are as good as everyone says.
Their support service is super-rapid and super-competent. They offer valuable advice and are proactive in helping with many types of problems. Someone here said they are 'deceptive' about renewals - they are not, they simply put the renewal options in a less-than-obvious place, and yes, I know why they do that but it is still easy enough to find. Also, they email you when services are going to renew. They just saved me over 400 Euros a year by consolidating some services for me and were under no obligation to do that, so I call that honest. I've been a client of theirs for many years and I'm sticking with them.
I cannot get over how absolutely helpful the support personnel on SiteGround are! No question is too small and they are always quick to answer and help this accountant with a mom blog fix whatever the issue is. I have used other hosting platforms in the past but I will stick with SiteGround forever! The tools and dashboard are so easy to use and I never have to worry about my site going down by a change I have made. And, the couple times it has because of my own error, the help desk has it back up in less than 5 minutes. Great service. Great people. You cannot go wrong with this platform!
Used to be a great hosting provider, but not anymore
It's a great hosting platform because it is easy to use with a lot of features . Unfortunately, they are deceptive about their renewals by saying they are set to expire, when in fact they are set to renew. Even logging onto the platform to confirm your service will not renew is confusing because it clearly states at the top, 'service set to expire on X Date.'
Customer service refuses to refund you after they charge your credit card for something you'd already confirmed was set to expire.
I don't like deceitful marketing. If you have a good product, you shouldn't have to deceive people to renew it.
There's a lot of consolidation going on in the industry. So lackluster support and server sluggishness are spreading across brands, as providers buy each other out. Siteground stands in contrast, a private outfit on a mission to counter the classic metrics: Slow servers & horrible support. The static IP, solid state servers are killer. The support is fast, kind, and generally competent. In this case, I just finished with Denitsa, and pretty much like every time I reach out, it was fantastic, no wait time, no pressure to close the chat. I really hope they don't sell this company. Because it makes my life so much easier.
I was with SiteGround (SG) for years. I moved recently because my site needs very little attention and SG was overkill for what I needed. Their Chat support is excelent. Each time I used them I connected with them very quickly and they were able to help me in all circumstances. If you need a robust host and are willing to pay a bit more than others, this is a good choice.
They are very friendly positive and always have a quick solution for your problem! Done my first year with Siteground last month and i always look for better solution. Siteground is a complete solution to make our life better and more easy. I am in peace!
When choosing my first WP hosting platform a few months ago, I did online research and comparison between the leading players in the industry. SiteGround seemed to fit my needs well and first year is 80% which made it attractive to start with. Since then I installed myself a WP + Woocommerce instance that I got up and running easily despite limited previous WP experience. WP tools are of course what they are but the tools that SiteGround provide are really helpful and easy to use. Since then I already upgraded my plan and have installed a second site. Again really easy. Along the process of setting these two sites, I experienced a few issues (sometimes there was a real issue, sometimes I simply didn't know how to do something and couldn't find it in the help documents). Each time I got connected with a chat support operator almost immediately and each time the support was extremely friendly and knowledgable. My issue was always sorted within minutes. I've been really impressed with the SiteGround and combined with the amazing support, I've become a Siteground fan and will be recommending SiteGround to others as well. Thank you, SiteGround team!
I just had my first Support chat with a rep. I was able to reach them almost immediately. I have/had a migration issue. The rep told me to wait a few minutes while he checked my website. He came back in a few and told me he discovered a conflict in my lazy load plugin. They have that feature, too. So one of them has to go.
I haven't checked it yet, but I'm impressed that I was given what sounds like a plausible fix after only a few minutes. I was expecting a long and probably frustrating ordeal. Of course, I haven't checked it yet. Hopefully, in a few minutes I'll still be impressed!
