Reseña sobre One.com: Conclusión
I made a big mistake by transferring my own domain from GoDaddy to one.com. I thought one.com would be better, but it’s a completely useless platform for anyone managing servers. They don’t allow creating glue records (child nameservers), which is very important if you want to run your own custom nameservers. Because of this, I couldn't connect my domain to my cPanel/WHM VPS server, and now 68 websites have been down for the last two days. My client is pressuring me non-stop, and honestly, I’ve had the worst time handling this situation. I strongly suggest not buying domains from one.com, especially if you're in web hosting or server management. Their support is also not helpful at all.
From 3 days ago i was paid for a domain and i received email to wait until your domain activate and now my domain received from another provider and still mymoney with one.com and i have no idea about what happened or when i can get the domain that i paid for , 4$ is not worth but imagin you pay for nothing
Im not really running a website. it's merely there as a backend for me. Their annual increase is price means I should be more savvy and move my domain. This is the price I pay year on year for their basic beginner package. 1 domain name and using 1gb of the 5 available. year 1 £41.94 year 2 £56.92 year 3 £69.44 year 4 £70.64 year 5 £93.44 a 220% increase
It's ok that the prices go up after the discounted 1st year, and I have no problem with some adjustments for inflation or currency fluctuation, but the way they increase prices they make Venezuela look like an amateur. I just looked through some old invoices. I started in 2007, I paid ~$27 in 2011, ~$40 in 2018 and ~$58 in 2022. From what I can see for my current plan it will be more than $80 in 2023. All I need is my domain and an email-address, for that purpose it has definitely become very bad value over the years. I give 2* since the product itself is ok, but I can get all I need elsewhere for much less.
While the original starters were in power, one.com was great. I have been with them for over a decade. But when private capitalists took over, services were slashed like the wonderful photo site while prices went up and doubled. So I found that was unacceptable and left them. I do miss the ease of use. Where I am now, setting up things is harder. But the host is cheaper too. My Synology NAS has made up for a lot though. The support guys were really good. Quick, friendly and understanding. This still could be a great host for your domain as they were for me. But racking up prices while slashing services is not something that should be rewarded by customers.
Don't waste your time and money with this site. Apparently the price is good but this is only valid for a certain period. Then it jumps three times and you have to pay even if you no longer use their services. Don't waste your time and money with this site.
