Namenoble is fine, but fine is not good enough. While Namenoble is a decent web host, you can get better quality hosting at a cheaper price with Hostinger, for example.
According to its LinkedIn page, Jakarta-based Namenoble was established recently in 2016. It’s interesting, then, that this Indonesian company already claims to be a leading hosting provider with over a thousand websites of various sizes to its name. Namenoble’s claims are even more interesting when you look at its own (frankly appalling) website which doesn’t bode well for a provider proposing to host your website.
Apart from WordPress web hosting, Namenoble also offers PHP hosting packages with installation scripts for Drupal, Joomla, and Magento. You can supposedly also get VPS, dedicated servers, and managed hosting services, although I couldn’t find any VPS or dedicated server plans on the provider’s website.
The Namenoble website is in Indonesian, but its client area can be translated into 25 additional languages.
Features and Ease of Use
Namenoble offers four semi-managed and three fully managed WordPress hosting plans along with four PHP hosting plans. All plans apart from the highest managed WordPress plan are shared hosting plans. The semi-managed WordPress plans provide you with:
- One free domain
- 1 GB to 4 GB disk space
- 15 GB to 60 GB international bandwidth
- Free SSL
As a WordPress hosting customer, you will get FTP, SSL, and a CDN pre-installed. You can also install any themes and plugins, and manage your WordPress from the integrated dashboard. LiteSpeed Cache provides superior performance, and your WordPress website is made even more performant thanks to Brotli compression.
The company’s PHP hosting plans provide the cPanel control panel along with the Softaculous one-click installer that provides more than 280 installation scripts for Joomla, Drupal, Magento, and more.
Since these plans are SSD-ready, you could enjoy superior performance compared with HDDs. The plans are also CageFS-ready, which would provide an extra level of security for your sensitive data. Finally, the CDN should speed up your page loading times while protecting you from certain kinds of cyberattacks.
Namenoble’s 90% uptime guarantee is notably much lower than the industry average.
Pricing and Support
Namenoble’s semi-managed WordPress plans are cheap, but you have to pay annually in Indonesian rupiah by bank transfer. This is pretty limiting, and a live chat agent confirmed to me that there is no money-back guarantee to make you feel better.
You can contact Namenoble via telephone, ticket, online form, email, or live chat. Given this company’s part-baked website, I was surprised to be able to connect via live chat (albeit after a very long wait of several hours).
Namenoble has no knowledge base for self-support, and its blog link simply redirects you to the home page.
