When DDSNet Europe was established, the Romanian online market was (and still is) saturated with steeply-priced hosting services. Therefore, from the outset, it has aimed to offer premium services at the right prices. These services include cloud hosting (including WordPress hosting and Magento hosting), VPS solutions (including VPS-KVM servers), and dedicated servers.
To date, DDSNet has registered more than 7,000 domains, has hosted over 20,000 websites, and boasts 99% customer satisfaction. Its website can be switched between Romanian and English, but its copyright notice hasn’t been updated since 2016.
Features and Ease of Use
DDSNet offers four WordPress hosting plans, four Magento hosting plans, and four cloud hosting plans, plus eight VPS solutions, eight VPS-KVM solutions, and eight dedicated server plans. The cloud hosting plans provide you with:
- 5 GB to 40 GB SSD storage
- Unlimited traffic
- Three to unlimited hosted domains
- Unlimited emails
- Five to unlimited databases
- Daily backups
- Dedicated IP address (at an additional cost)
- Spam and DDoS protection
The LiteSpeed Web Server gives you a 6x speed boost, the CloudLinux operating system isolates you from the adverse effects of other hosted users, and the Cloudflare CDN (with WordPress plans) improves page loading speeds while protecting you against certain kinds of cyberattacks. Coupled with advanced equipment and network infrastructure with maximum redundancy, DDSNet ensures 99.99% uptime.
Hosting plans include the Softaculous one-click installer that lets you install several CMS and other apps (such as Joomla, WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento, and more) with no technical knowledge.
Pricing and Support
DDSNet’s cloud hosting plans are competitively priced in euros. Unfortunately, all the order buttons appear to be broken, so it seems to be impossible to purchase a hosting plan. If you could sign up, you’d benefit from the advertised 30-day money-back guarantee and a free domain with an annual purchase.
You can contact this company via live chat (but the live chat button doesn’t work), telephone, or support ticket. Tickets can be sent to the commercial department during working hours on weekdays, whereas you can submit tickets to the technical team 24/7. Except you can’t, because (once again) the ticket submission link doesn’t work.
Since none of the links to the client area work, I filled out the contact form to find out why. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, I received no reply. For self-support, I’m guessing that the client area contains a knowledge base, but it’s not accessible.
